?Shitty interview No.83?I am still buzzing from my day with loved-up creative couple, rapper Zheani Sparkes & artist Mik Shida. A few weeks ago we met in the morning for a fun little shoot. Zheani picked out her favorite pieces from our online store & styled a few of them back with her own incredible wardrobe.
But the best part of the day was sitting down with two incredible humans for some nachos, beer, awesome chats & shitty interviews (Mik’s to follow).

Zheani Sparkes: First tatt – 18 yrs old & in my bedroom. My mum got a butterfly after me. Fave tatt – my forehead by @gracenevtral. Bad tatt – My feet tatts which I am currently getting lasered by @mjdriverlasertattooremoval.

Sticks & Stones: What are you scared of?

Zheani Sparkes: Fear’s the mind killer.

Sticks & Stones: How did you & boyf meet? When/how did it become official?

Zheani Sparkes: We briefly met when I was 19. I was studying film & made a documentary about Shida. He asked me out for a coffee but never followed through on the date. Bastard.
We hung out a couple of times after both coming back from living lives in Europe. Long story short, he locked that shit down.

Sticks & Stones: Where did you grow up? If you visited that place again now, what reaction would you get from the locals?

Zheani Sparkes: I was born in Bundaberg (QLD, Australia) but grew up in 1770. “Thanks for not shooting up our school”.

Zheani Sparkes: Taurus (everything).

'8th Element' by Mik Shida and Zheani Sparkes?Australian creatives Mik Shida and Zheani Sparkes are collaborating for the first time on ‘8th Element’—a pretty interesting set of visuals and tees. Produced by Shida, “it is essentially a channelling and reinterpretation of Zheani’s magic tattoos” and are part of a fundraising campaign for an independent film production.

Mik tells us the film will be a contemporary tragedy situated within the frame of Australia’s traditional lad sub culture, based on the Gold Coast. “It addresses the power dynamics at play between homeless youth and seeks to shine a light on a social issue that is rarely addressed.”
